Ceramics workshops consist of:

presentation of different techniques of working with clay
modelling – the only limitation is imagination… and … size of kiln chamber :-), beer steins, mugs, cakestands, plates, bowls, angels, elephants, frogs and many other forms are made
modeled objects are dried by air (from several hours up to 2 days) and fired in the temperature of 900°C
after several days you can arrange glazing of fired objects (glazing lasts about 1-2 hours) or order glazing at ceramic sculptors (in the price of workshops)
again glazed objects are fired in ceramic kiln in the temperature of 1200°C, which guarantees their waterproofness
all objects are made by participants of ceramics workshops and are ready to be collected in galleries or can be sent by postal services (for extra charge)
full cycle starting from modeling takes minimum 6 days, usually glazing and courier services of finished objects are ordered at ceramic sculptors
children below 5 years old require care of their parents

Price list for families and individual visitors

PLN 30/person/hour / 7,5 €
minimum recommended time of workshops – 2 hours
children up to 4 years old – free
refreshments: coffee, tea, homemade cake, soft drinks (for those not taking part in the workshops) PLN 10/person / 2,5 €

Price list for organized groups, children and youth

minimum number of participants: 15
PLN 40/person/3 hours / 10 €
PLN 45/person/3 hours / 11 € including rehreshments: homemade cake, coffee, tea and soft drink
ceramics workshops for groups are combined with integration games, competitions with prizes, stilt walking, bonfire and other attractions
it is possibile to combine the workshops with other attractions of Dobków and its surroundings

Ceramic workshops consist of 2 stages

Stage 1:

getting familiar with different types of ceramic masses and selection of proper mass to the intended object
getting familiar with old traditions, methods and techniques of formation of ceramics
making objects from clay with the use of traditional methods, according to one’s own ideas
decoration of formed objects with the use of traditional methods
during workshops you can discover the history of craft, processes of formation of ceramics in the past and present times
after this stage, the objects made are dried and fired to form the so-called bisque and then it is possible to glaze them. They can be glazed by us (in the price of workshops), or participants can learn how to galze in the 2nd stage

Stage 2

unloading the kiln after the bisque and presentation of techniques of setting the objects when firing
getting familiar with old and new techniques of providing ceramic objects with stability and waterproofness
getting familiar with different types of glazes, slipwares and dyes used today
glazing of made objects
after this stage, objects can be fired in the temperature of 1150 degrees, which provides them with waterproofness and beautiful colorful effects
finished objects are ready to be collected in the gallery or can be sent by postal service paid for by the receiver
