Figural gingerbread baking workshop

• workshops are conducted by Irena and Zenek – art conservators
• The Forge of Old Crafts is a meticulously restored historic building, in which until the 80s of the twentieth century. There was a real forge
• Figural gingerbread is a combination of passion for art and respect for old traditions
• based on the old recipe you will learn the forgotten art of Traditional Gingerbread Making
• The lecturers combined passion for art with the idea of slow-food – honey comes from our own apiary, spices are carefully selected, and flour is imported from a trusted mill
• There is no place for rush here, because any handicrafts take time
• The workshop produces not only traditional long-maturing dough but also beautifully carved, wooden gingerbread forms
• Irena: “We love what we do because… Our art has taste.”

At the workshop:

• you will learn the history of gingerbread and the art of woodcarving (precise sculpting)
• roll out the gingerbread ball and manually press them into wooden forms made by Zenek from pear wood, ps. Ask at the workshop why pear :-)
• Then gently remove the dough from the mold and put the cakes on a baking tray and in the oven
• After baking gingerbread, you can eat or take with you small artworks

Highlights:

• it is necessary to reserve a place, otherwise there may be no vacancies or we will not be able to inform you about the cancellation of classes
• For a group of at least 10 people, it is possible to set a convenient date
