It is one of the oldest cities in the region, which has not stopped here \u2013 here<br \/>\nthe past and modernity intertwine, creating a unique atmosphere. Gothic churches,<br \/>\n Baroque gems and monumental tenement houses all create an urban landscape that<br \/>\nattracts attention from the first walk through the market square  <\/li>\n<li>in Legnica, history literally lurks on every corner, but it does not overwhelm you. It is a city teeming<br \/>\nwith life and culture. It is the perfect place for those who want to combine sightseeing with the pleasant<br \/>\ndiscovery of new spaces \u2013 without crowds and with an authentic atmosphere  <\/li>\n<li>on the list of must-see points, it is worth including the Piast Castle \u2013 one of the oldest<br \/>\nin Poland. Right next to it is the Church of the Virgin Mary with huge, colorful stained glass windows, and a little<br \/>\nfurther the Gothic Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul the Apostles.   In the church of St. John the Baptist<br \/>\n, on the other hand, there is a mausoleum of the Silesian Piasts \u2013 a testimony to the power of the Piasts, who<br \/>\nruled these lands for centuries<\/li>\n<li>Legnica is also a space for art. Original festivals and events take place here,<br \/>\n which attract artists from all over Polish and Europe \u2013 such as Satyrykon, the Silver Festival or<br \/>\nthe Legnica Film Academy. It is also worth visiting the Copper Museum, located in<br \/>\na beautiful Baroque complex  <\/li>\n<li>Legnica is not only history and art. They are also modern places that entertain and teach<br \/>\nat the same time. A perfect example is the Witelon Center \u2013 a space where learning<br \/>\nturns into an adventure. Nearly 50 interactive stations await you on 1,000 m\u00b2 \u2013 from<br \/>\noptical tricks and illusions, through experiments with lasers, to a laboratory where children<br \/>\ncan &#8220;explosively&#8221; discover the secrets of volcanoes. It is a great place for families with children,<br \/>\n where fun is combined with education, and after intense emotions you can relax in<br \/>\na caf\u00e9 or reading room    <\/li>\n<li>The heart of the city is the Market Square \u2013 a place for meetings, events, walks. Here you can feel<br \/>\nLegnica: architectural contrasts, charming tenement houses and cozy cafes that<br \/>\ninvite you to relax for a while. If you like to discover places with a soul, be sure to visit<br \/>\nthe historic district of Tarnin\u00f3w \u2013 it&#8217;s a real walk through pre-war elegance with<br \/>\na touch of mystery  <\/li>\n<li>green spaces cannot be missed either \u2013 the City Park is a great place to relax<br \/>\nafter intensive sightseeing, with alleys, fountains and plenty of shade. And if you are looking for<br \/>\nviews from above \u2013 climb St. Peter&#8217;s Tower at the Piast Castle and see Legnica from a<br \/>\ndifferent perspective  <\/li>\n<li>It is a city not only for sightseeing, but above all for experiencing.
