{"id":27165,"date":"2022-06-08T15:24:41","date_gmt":"2022-06-08T13:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/guide\/sniezka-giant-mountain\/"},"modified":"2026-04-27T20:08:27","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T18:08:27","slug":"sniezka-giant-mountain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/en\/przewodnik\/przyroda\/sniezka-giant-mountain\/","title":{"rendered":"Sn\u011b\u017eka &#8211; how to get to the top"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>Sn\u011b\u017eka (1603 m above sea level) is the highest peak of the Karkonosze Mountains, as well as the entire Sudetenland<\/li>\n<li>is the most popular point for tourists in the whole area, which is why it is crowded almost all year round (especially during holidays, holidays and weekends) &#8211; we do not recommend it to people who do not like crowds<\/li>\n<li>weather-wise, it is the place with the least number of sunny days in the whole of Poland &#8211; there is a high probability that the peak will be in fog or in clouds<\/li>\n<li>ATTENTION on \u015anie\u017cka there are often extremely different weather conditions than in Karpacz, so it is necessary to have warm clothing, rain \/ wind protection, as well as a sun filter (even, and especially, in winter)<\/li>\n<li>when there is snow at the top (i.e. from October to May) it is necessary to have good mountain boots and even crawls &#8211; the trail to the top is steep, often icy, which threatens to fall<\/li>\n<li>the summit can be reached on foot from Karpacz:<br \/>\n&#8211; via the red trail through \u0141omniczka Valley from the parking lot below Orlinek Hotel, <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/t1zE6po8zg3BiwDU7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NAVIGATE TO PARKING<\/a>, ascent time approx. 3 h + return, elevation gain 810 m, in winter the trail from \u0141omniczka Shelter to Dom \u015al\u0105ski is closed due to avalanche danger<br \/>\n&#8211; via the black trail from the lower base of the Ma\u0142a Kopa lift through Bia\u0142y Jar, <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/EDTHmTQmS9rLoYWY8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NAVIGATE TO PARKING<\/a>, ascent time approx.  2.5 h + return, elevation gain 820 m, White Jar is closed in winter<\/li>\n<li>from Karpacz &#8211; Bia\u0142y Jar there is also a lift to Kopa, <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/mohU7eMNDGqDKyRp7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NAVIGATE TO THE PARKING LOT<\/a> &#8211; entry time 30 minutes on a 4-person sofa, there are often long queues under the lift. From the upper station of the lift to Kopie to \u015anie\u017cka is approx. 40 minutes walk along the black and red trail, on the way there is a shelter PTTK Dom \u015al\u0105ski  <\/li>\n<li>from the Czech town of Pec pod Sn\u011b\u017ekou, <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/5annRA3Zfqzux71DA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NAVIGATE TO THE PARKING LOT<\/a> &#8211; take the gondola lift to the foot of Sn\u011b\u017eka &#8211; the time of entry 30 minutes, the walk to the top will take 5 minutes.
