{"id":66835,"date":"2022-12-30T22:51:05","date_gmt":"2022-12-30T21:51:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/guide\/cross-country-skiing-poland\/"},"modified":"2024-12-30T22:51:05","modified_gmt":"2024-12-30T21:51:05","slug":"cross-country-skiing-poland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/en\/guide\/cross-country-skiing-poland\/","title":{"rendered":"Cross-country trails in Jakuszyce"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><span>Jakuszyce is the highest located district of Szklarska Por\u0119ba, located near Jelenia G\u00f3ra (30 km), Karpacz (36 km), \u015awierad\u00f3w Zdr\u00f3j (27 km) or the Czech Harachov (6 km), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/en\/restaurant\/\">Villa Greta restaurant<\/a> (52 km) on the way back to Wroc\u0142aw or the Copper Belt<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Jakuszyce is famous throughout Europe for its excellent conditions and trails for cross-country skiing. The microclimate there is conducive to long snow (on average 156 days per year). On the Jakuszycka Glade there is a Cross-Country Skiing Center (Lower Silesian Sports Center), where the World Cup in Cross-Country Skiing or the Piast Race are organized there    <\/li>\n<li>There are <strong>10 different walking routes<\/strong> on site, with different distances (from 6 to 20 km) and walking time (from 30 minutes to 3 hours), each of them has its own name. Regardless of your level of advancement or age, you will find the trail that suits you. Right next to the Jakuszycka Glade, there are many running equipment rentals  <\/li>\n<li>For the least experienced runners, we recommend the 6-kilometer route &#8220;Dukty&#8221;, it will not take you more than 30 \/ 45 minutes, almost to the end the entire trail leads slightly uphill, in the last kilometer there is a fairly steep descent leading straight to the finish line<\/li>\n<li>another, slightly longer, proposal for beginners is the &#8220;Orle&#8221; route, the whole route is about 10 km long, and it takes about 60\/80 minutes to cover it. On the trail there is a working shelter of the same name  <\/li>\n<li>if you run regularly or walk often, we recommend a picturesque route with a view of the Karkonosze Mountains, which stops at the Stanis\u0142aw Mine &#8211; the highest located quartz mine in Europe (if you want to learn a little more about this and many other minerals, check out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/en\/guide\/museums-attractions\/sudetic-geoscience-centre\/\">the Sudeten Educational Farm<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/en\/guide\/dobkow-tourist-attractions\/\">Dobk\u00f3w<\/a>). The whole thing is about 12 km long, it takes about 60\/80 minutes to cover it <\/li>\n<li>The routes for experienced runners are characterized by considerable distances and uphills, some of them are even combined with routes certified by FIS (there are 4 of them in Jakuszyce). Routes: &#8220;Without Grace&#8221;, &#8220;Winter&#8221;, &#8220;Airplane&#8221; are examples of the most demanding trails <\/li>\n<li>a full list of routes with maps and GPS files can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/jakuszyce.info.pl\/trasy-biegowe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/biegowkijakuszyce.pl\/trasy-biegowe-jakuszycach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>during the winter season, especially on weekends and winter holidays, Jakuszyce is a popular destination for trips. The trails, rentals and restaurants are crowded.
