It was built between 1618 and 1648, initially serving as a shelter for shepherds and travelers. After a fire in 1914, the building was rebuilt, and another one was added soon after. <\/li>\n<li>From the mountain hut, you can see Szklarska Por\u0119ba, the Jelenia G\u00f3ra Valley, the Izerskie Mountains, and with very good visibility, even the outlines of distant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/en\/guide\/nature\/ostrzyca-mountain\/\">Ostrzyca<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The mountain hut offers accommodation in 1, 2, 4, or 6-person rooms, and there is also a kitchen serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.<\/li>\n<li>Power outages often occur at the peak, so if you plan to stay overnight, remember to bring a good flashlight.<\/li>\n<li>This place is an excellent base for exploring the Karkonosze Mountains. It lies at the intersection of many hiking trails, and a ski slope runs nearby. <\/li>\n<li>About 1.5 hours from the mountain hut are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/en\/guide\/sniezne-kotly\/\">\u015anie\u017cne Kot\u0142y \u2013 one of the best viewpoints in the Karkonosze Mountains<\/a>, and about a 1-hour hike away is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/en\/guide\/nature\/zrodlo-laby\/\">Source of the Elbe<\/a>, which is the longest river in the Czech Republic and one of the largest in Germany (where it is called Elbe). From the mountain hut, you can reach the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/en\/guide\/nature\/waterfall-polish-mountains\/\">Szklarka Waterfall<\/a> in 1.5 hours via a direct trail. <\/li>\n<li>The route we propose starts in Szklarska Por\u0119ba, from where you can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/en\/guide\/active\/ski-lift-giant-mountains\/\">take the cable car up to Szrenica<\/a>. From the upper station, you will reach the mountain hut in about 1.5 hours via a picturesque green trail. It is not demanding and will not pose problems even for the youngest hikers :-)  <\/li>\n<li>Alternatively, you can start your hike by visiting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villagreta.pl\/en\/guide\/nature\/waterfall-polish-mountains\/\">Szklarka Waterfall<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/QrNuVrDr8tPPmeL4A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PARKING<\/a>), and then taking the blue trail, you will reach the Mountain Hut directly in about 3 hours.
