Arnold’s house in the summer.
come from?
Before World War II, the Lower Silesia belonged to the Germans. After the war, from 1945, all Germans were displaced, and Poles displaced from the areas of today’s Ukraine and looking for a new life, residents of other regions of Polish began to arrive in the Lower Silesia.
However, German professionals were displaced with a delay, often several years. Until the 1950s, a German electrician named Arnold, whom the Polish authorities allowed to leave only after passing on the knowledge of electrics to the new settlers, lived in the house from the photos.
