Skopiec is a peak included in the Crown of the Polish Mountains, until recently considered the highest peak of the Kaczawskie Mountains
the latest measurements indicate that Skopiec is 718 m above sea level, nearby Folwarczna – 723 m above sea level, and Okole 725 m above sea level.
this means that it is Okole, not Skopiec, that should be in the book of the conquerors of the Crown of the Mountains Polish
to the top of Skopec leads the blue trail from the Komarnicka Pass, a short ascent, approx. 1 km from the car park
on the Pass you will see an intriguing art installation with a thousand worn shoes, from there along the path to the left and uphill
from the top you will not see any view, because it is overgrown with trees. You can admire the beautiful view from the Pass itself, as well as from the nearby Baraniec
at the top there is a plate with the name of the peak and a box with a stamp
on the other side of the pass there is the peak of Folwarczna, from which there is also no view, but on the way it is worth looking at the green rocks – you can find there cushion lavas – relics of volcanism from 500 million years ago

Po 200 m od parkingu dotrzemy do Przełęczy Komarnickiej z instalacją artystyczną. Na rozdrożu w lewo, Skopiec wcześniej uważany za najwyższy szczyt Gór Kaczawskich, w prawo, Folwarczna, która po badaniach w 2014 r. okazała się wyższa o 3 m od Skopca.

Szczyt nie jest miejscem spektakularnym. Wierzchołek porośnięty jest lasem świerkowym.

Po drodze wprawne oko dostrzeże lawy poduszkowe, które są pozostałością po wylewach lawy na dnie oceanu, ok. 500 milionów lat temu.

Góra Okopowa 711 m n.p.m.. Ponieważ Folwarczna nie jest szczytem specjalnie malowniczym warto podejść kilkaset metrów dalej do kolejnego szczytu o nazwie Okopowa. Jest to jedna z ładniejszych gór w okolicy. W oddali Łysa Góra ze stokiem narciarskim.
