Christmas Market in Wrocław – festive atmosphere and fairy-tale decorations in the heart of Lower Silesia’s capital.
- The Christmas Market in Wrocław is one of the city’s biggest winter attractions. The first Christmas market took place here as early as the 16th century, and the tradition has been revived over the past several years
- this year it will begin in November and run through January, including New Year’s Eve and Epiphany
- during this time, you’ll find over 150 stalls in the market square, where local artisans and food vendors primarily offer their products. There are also goods from other European countries
- Christmas decorations, natural cosmetics, traditional cured meats, Lower Silesian honey, gingerbread shaped like Wrocław townhouses, Alsatian tarte flambée, Dutch and Italian cheeses—these are just some of the products on offer
- you can also enjoy hot mulled wine in Wrocław’s market square! You’ll find it at Plac Solny in a three-story fairy-tale house with a viewing terrace and a fireplace inside
- the market also features many attractions for children, including Santa’s sleigh, and next to the Christmas tree, a carousel with Rudolph and friends, as well as the Fairy Tale Grove, where children can enjoy stories and tales presented in an engaging way
- starting December 1, a music stage will appear by the Christmas tree, where you can watch concerts and performances on weekends
