  • the dam on the Bóbr River in Pilchowice is the second highest (after Solin) dam in Poland
  • there is a hydroelectric power plant at the dam (sometimes it is already possible to visit)
  • you can enter the dam itself, and its surroundings are very picturesque
  • in the season at the dam there is an inn with homemade meals
  • on the Pilchowice Lagoon there is a Horyzont water equipment rental, the offer includes kayaks, sailboats, boats and pedal boats
  • the waters of the Lagoon are not suitable for swimming, there are no places with good access to water and the water already in July blooms with green greens and cyanobacteria, see why this happens
  • about 1 km from the dam there is a historic railway station in Pilchowice and the highest railway bridge in Poland, which became famous throughout the country because of plans to blow it up for a film with Tom Cruise, the station and the bridge can be reached by car
  • the Dam can be reached from the village of Pilchowice, the parking lot is located at the northern end of the dam, in the high season paid
  • nearby it is worth seeing the Prince’s Tower in Siedlęcin and lenno Castle, and on another trip to swim down the Bóbr River by kayak or pontoon
